What is a gas lift Ottoman?

This is essentially a storage ottoman which is a little more high end. The hinged lift up storage lid has a gas piston at one or both sides to help ease some of the weight when lifting the lift. It operates in a smooth cushioned manner and keeps the lid in the open position without you having to hold it open.
