His son Nigel joined the family business at just 17 years old in the early 1980's, learning traditional upholstery techniques from the ground up. Nearly five decades later, Nigel Halliday continues that tradition, personally overseeing every piece that leaves our Nottingham workshop. We use only solid wood for our frames and these are joined using the glued, screwed & dowelled method. We use high grade foam that doesn't deform over time, for long lasting comfort. Hard-wearing fabrics, that have achieved a high rub count via the Martindale test are used for long lasting beauty.
